The fifth edition of the National Cyber Security Competition

The fifth edition of the National Cyber Security Competition ended with Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) crowned as the victors. University of Namibia and Lingua College also participated with a team each, while NUST had two teams. The contest was held over two days, during which the teams were tested by industry experts. The teams consisted of a combination of first- to fourth-year students who battled various attacks.

Fungai Bhunu Shava, dean of the computer science department at NUST, indicated that the success of the contest was in the ability of the teams to fend off attacks and to score during their sessions. “The students did a great job and the experts were impressed with their skill levels,” Shava added.
